(1) National Innovation Foundation (NIF), a society set by Dept. of Science & Tech, GoI.

From May 12, 2003 to till date working as Fellow- Intellectual Property Rights in Intellectual Property (IP) Information Management Division, National Innovation Foundation (NIF), Ahmedabad

• Intellectual Property information management including acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of information to the users according to their specific queries.

• Analysis & Documentation of innovations accepted for patent protection

•  Prior art search for novelty analysis from patent databases, websites etc.

• Novelty analysis and claims analysis of innovations

• Benchmarking of innovation and comparative study with existing products

• Drafting of patent document, claims analysis and filing of patent application

• Provide assistance to National Coordinator for IP issues

•  To communicate with eminent scientists and technological experts from various fields for guidance in the activities of NIF

•   Development of Business Plan for projects/Innovations

(2) Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi 

From September 30, 2000 to April 22, 2003 worked in FITT Information and Documentation Division, FITT, IIT Delhi, New Delhi as Project Associate.

• Information management including acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination of information to the users according to their specific queries.

• Providing value added Information Support Services to Corporate world and Faculty of IIT Delhi and Problem solving exercise with the aid of the faculty of IIT Delhi

• Associating two DSIR information based Projects NCPC and N-WISE

• Patent & literature searching in various online and CD-ROM databases e.g. USPTO, INSPEC,Compendex, Metadex,  Esp@cenet, PCT, Canadian, Japio, Korean, Chinese, etc. available on Internet, STN & Dialog

 Specialization in Patent Information System as an elective paper during my AIS Course. This paper includes Intellectual property Rights (IPRs) ,Basics of patents, Patent in India special provisions of Indian Patent Act and Mechanism for Processing of Patent, Stages of patenting, Patent document , patent drafting, Filing, Opposition/revocation, Patent information sources, enforcement of patent, Harmonization, Patent as strategic tool, Copyright, trademark, trade secrete Industrial design etc.

ACHIEVEMENTS

1.      I have reduced the cost in procuring the patents to almost zero for FITT, IIT Delhi by providing all of them free of cost from different Websites on Internet.

2.      Awarded Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR ) scholarship during AIS course conducted by INSDOC, CSIR, New Delhi

3.      Reduced the publication & distribution time of FITT Newsletter by digitization

4.      Virtual Information Centre : Online services to the corporate World

5.      Increase the No of Filed patent application

6.   Started Benchmarking Procedure for Innovations in IPR Cell
